  在歌羅西書一章十節裏提到我們行事為人對得起主。凡事蒙祂喜悅、在一切善事上結果子、漸漸的多知道　神。我們行事為人對得起主嗎？有沒有想過要蒙祂喜悅？我們有否努力行善？做到這幾樣會幫助我們漸漸多知道神嗎？我們從信主至今是否更加認識神？

杏娟﹕     「今年發生許多事﹐ 感謝主賜心中的平安﹐ 可以安然面對﹐ 不懼風雨﹐ 且有有心人與我一起去經歷苦難﹐ 使我心得著安慰。」

Bill:     「感謝神﹐ 今年九月份搬遷順利完成。」

Pearl:     「感謝主的保護。10/28/06 星期六早上返教會途中﹐ 在101 freeway 上險生交通意外。 事因在左lane 的房車﹐ 突然要過線﹐ 逼著我的車過來﹐ 而我右邊也沒有空位走避。 感謝主﹐ 祂立時讓這司機察覺我的車正在她旁邊﹐以至及時返回左線。而我已全身顫抖﹐腳軟﹔ 感謝主安全返到教會。」

Grace:     "Thank God for His provision and perfect timing. Thanks for a university teaching job and the experience, for supportive friends who pray with/for me regularly, and for godly and caring sponsors and Sunday school teachers."

Janice:     「為到Megan 到 pre-school 適應﹐感謝神。」

Carrie:     「昨晨與媽通電﹐ 她說有每天祈禱﹐也有去教會。Thank God.」

Jerome 老師﹕     「感謝神在事奉中經歷到神的同在和恩典。」

Stanley:     "Thank God for giving me an opportunity to spend a wonderful 3.5 weeks with my mom and aunt and to visit my brother. Thank God for the best vacation in my life: teaching English in Susong, Anhui."

Sally Ye:     「慈愛的天父： 感謝您對我的保守和看顧，使我能順利簽證來到美國，並且能有機會認識您和信靠您，從陌生的地方開始新的生活和工作，都是您親手帶領和預備，使我經歷到了神奇妙的恩典。藉著神豐富的恩典，使我能有機會受浸，成為神的兒女，實在只有感恩。」

Joe Pan:     「感謝神工作上的奇妙供應。多次遇到困難時經過禱告都迎刃而解。」

Duke and Margaret:     「為著結婚、生BB、父母信了主而獻上感恩。其實以上每一項都是付上很多的心力。深知這都不是必然的事，卻都是主的恩福臨到我家。」

Jeannie:     "Thank God for everything He gave me and things He did not gave me. May His grace and blessings upon me will also be with my family, relatives, and friends, especially the non believers who, hopefully, may become a believer one day."

Janet Lau:     "Praise the Lord for His graciousness and goodness in my grandfather's recovery from his stroke. Thank the Lord for His protection for my nephew, Allen's auto accident that he and the other party were totally well even though the car was at total loss and also that I have a chance to almost finish the one-year bible reading plan."

Yvonne:     "Praise the Lord and thank you all for your prayer and care. My father is much better now. He hasn't complained about the pain for a few days now. I guess the pain must be gone and we are able to put his denture back to his mouth. He is now eating more. You know I really don't see any depressions on him which is good for him. Well, I guess right now his white blood cell is still high, but getting better as well."

Christy Chu:     「感謝神賜我生命如詩歌般經歷高低﹐ 面臨苦難時﹐ 我的世界仿似停頓了﹐ 你卻告訴我生活如樂曲一樣﹐ 也碰到休止符﹐ 淚水可以洗清心靈眼睛。靜止的時候﹐ 認知道你是我的神。神啊﹗ 有誰像你管教我如此幽默﹗ 令我這一生可歌可泣﹐ 這樣精彩﹗ 感謝你﹐ 願入我的生命﹗ 你是我這生的傳奇。」

Monica:     「感謝天父，有時在繁忙的工作中，祂偶爾會給我一種悠然而來的輕鬆喜悅和平安，這種經歷不是從人身上可得到，是由內心湧出來的一種感覺。 也許在一些禱告之後，又或許對祂的話語有些領受，又或者在某個事奉上有得著．也許太忙了，轉過身來又忘記，但似乎聖靈在繁忙中偶有提醒，在這個突然的喜悅中勾起我要追溯根源的衝動。 想起來了就要感恩。 而這個經歷，就是我生活中的一些調味品。」

FCBC Heroes and Heroines

Ever wonder who the heroes are? Do images of brave policemen rescuing hostages come to mind, or bold firemen saving fire victims from burning buildings? Well, you don’t have to look very far for heroes. In our everyday life in FCBC, I ran across many. These are heroes or heroines who don’t get the pictures posted on newspapers or made the 6pm news, but their examples, their exemplary lives, their dedication to God’s work, their Christ-like conduct, their compassion, have made indelible memories in me. I want to thank God for being part of the FCBC family, part of the CSAF family and witnessed and experienced their love, God’s love.

Karena is my heroine. She probably serves in more areas that I can count with my fingers. I saw her as interpreter, as Sunday school teacher, as bible study leader, as our fellowship’s sponsor for many years. She saw us grow physically and mature spiritually. She is more than our leader; she is our friend. When our family members are sick, she visits them, offering assurance and support. When our parents passed away, she was there, offering prayer and comfort, witnessing to them and bringing them to Christ. When we are sick, she visits us and prays with us.

I remember my first operation 5 years ago. It was on a Sunday at 7:00 am. She was there to pray for me before I was wheeled into the operation room. She was there when I had my second surgery 3 years later to pray for me and make sure I was alright. A few weeks later, I had a post-operation complication and threw up every 2 hours; Karena came and drove me through heavy traffic to UCLA Medical center, helped the nurse cleaning up the mess when I felt so helpless.

She went to the English camp with us, sharing our burdens, and laughter. She never complained about the heat, the food, or anything, but served joyously and tirelessly. I remember one night, after visiting a house church, she came back and found a waitress waiting for Edith for 2 hours. She must be tired like us, having spent a long hot day teaching and visiting the house church for 3.5 hours; but she witnessed to the waitress late into the night, patiently explaining the gospel to her, who later accepted our Lord.

Karena is our nameless heroine. She doesn’t get her picture posted in any newspaper, but she is larger-than-life, making an everlasting impression, leaving indelible memories, in our ordinary life. She reflects the glory of our Lord and I am grateful to see and to experience His glory in her life.

1. A New Name for CSAF 團契改新名

• Everyone can participate 人人有機會參予. Can you think of a new name for our fellowship?
  
• There's going to be a contest 將有比賽接受弟兄姐妹提名.
  
• Pick up a form from the CSAF mailbox and give us your suggestion of a new name, your reason.
  
• If you like to retain our CSAF name brand, use the same form to let us know.
  
• Your opinion counts!

• Pray for targets to bring to our Outreach Meeting on 12/23 (Sat). Pray for meaningful & attractive program for the new comers. Pray for Joe Pan who spearheads the program, Victor the song leader, Joshua the Messenger, and us who will bring our friends and spread the Good News!
  
• Please continue to pray for Yvonne's dad for his adjustment after the surgery. Thank God that Mr. Lee's doing well.
  
• Also please pray for the recovery of Jasmine's mom from stroke.
